Services for the Elderly

As people grow older they need to plan for the future. We provide a full range of services to help, including Powers of Attorney, entitlement to financial aid for home and residential care, planning your affairs to minimise Inheritance Tax.

-  If I need to be looked after, who is responsible:
the family;  the NHS;  the government?

-  Can my spouse and I stay together?

-  Do I need to use up my money and/or sell my home?

-  Can I give my family my assets now?

-  How does Inheritance Tax work?

-  How can I protect my hard earned savings?

Powers of Attorney

If circumstances arise whereby you are unable to conduct your own affairs you need someone trustworthy to manage them for you.

-  Who should I choose to be my Attorney and how
much control should I give them?

-  Can I protect my interests if I become ill or
    incapacitated?

-  Should I put arrangements in place now  ‘just in
   case’?

-  What happens with regard to my existing
   Enduring Power of Attorney?

-  Is a Lasting Power of Attorney the best legal
   solution in my particular circumstances?

It is possible (under a Lasting Power of Attorney) to appoint someone you trust to manage your financial matters and/or to make decisions regarding your personal welfare, which can include healthcare and consent to medical treatment.

We will come to visit you for the purposes of discussing any of these services if for any reason it is difficult for you to come to our offices.
